|OUTSTANDING SUCCESS FOR DUPLO NORTHERN LIGHTS
Sarah Crumpler, Duplo UK Marketing Manager, said: “To even say that the inaugural Northern Lights was an unqualified success would be a huge understatement. We are massively proud and it was everything and more than we envisaged. We will be having another show in the north next year!
“We had almost 200 people through the door and secured £260,000 worth of business, plus have a huge pipeline of potential new orders. Feedback from our commercial partners has also been extremely positive. The first person through the door on the opening day was from Scotland, which is another indicator that this sort of event is needed in the north.”
The aim of ‘Northern Lights’ was to bring together a wide cross-section of industry experts demonstrating live applications. All initiatives were designed to help customers develop new and existing revenue streams alongside creating added value and providing ideas for increasing workflow efficiencies and reducing bottlenecks within current processes.
‘Hands-on’ operator demonstrations proved popular and were focused on the Duplo DC-645 multifinisher and the System 500i
Duplo Customer Forum had 14 attendees covering education and commercial enterprises – the aim being to have quarterly meetings. The topic for this meeting, which lasted two hours, was a ‘Cutters’ Forum’, chaired by Adrian Tolley, Operations Director at Prime Group, Nottingham. JoAnne Lancaster, UK Customer Support Manager, provided an initial address, welcoming the initiative and explaining the background
Expertise throughout the two days was provided by Duplo product specialists, together with other experts including trainers, as well as commercial partners at the event
