|Duplo Launches New Products at London Calling 5i
London Calling 5i has been hailed by Duplo as an ‘application focused’ event, driven by their customer’s desire to be inspired with new ideas on how to improve their profitability and find out more about the latest innovations.
Duplo has brought together a group of key partners from pre to post-press at the iconic Somerset House for London Calling this year including Balreed, Esko, Fedrigoni, Friedheim, Fujifilm, Renz, Vivid and VPress. Each of the partners has their own value to add to the event and by working with each other the value for customers is multiplied even further.
New products on show from Duplo at London Calling 5i include the;
500i Duetto System: Duplo’s latest evolution of its “Duetto” system, featuring both collator towers and the recently launched DSF-2200 sheet feeder. The new DSC-10/60i collator towers enable users to perform custom applications and fulfill a variety of unique job requirements by using the Intelligent Multi-Bin Feeding (IMBF) feature that comes standard with the PC Controller software. This hybrid configuration enables printers to seamlessly merge mono documents with colour media, combine un-collated offset with collated digital output, and create one-to-one marketing booklets by inserting variable data material.
DC-745 with Integrated Folding System: the flagship digital slitting, cutting, creasing, perforating and folding device in the Duplo range. The DC-745 is a multi-function finishing solution for high volume digital colour printers delivering increased productivity and versatility with the ability to finish a wider range of applications in a single pass.
Duplo Bookletmaker 150 (DBM-150): the world’s smallest fully automatic booklet maker equipped with all the features of Duplo’s larger booklet makers, in a more compact and affordable design.
UltraCut 240 (UC-240): a mid-level multi-function finishing solution for digital colour print. The UC-240 can slit, cut, score/perforate in a single pass making it an ideal companion for low to mid-volume production digital presses.
PBT Mitamax: following the announcement of Duplo’s distribution agreement with Photobook Technology (PBT) earlier this month the Mitamax is one of four new machines in the “Mita” range for the production of high quality, hardcover lay-flat books.
Peter Jolly, UK Managing Director explained that, “London Calling has become the major annual event on our calendar, it truly is a customer driven event and whilst it’s a fantastic forum for sharing our latest innovations, it’s also a great opportunity for our customers to network and share ideas with each other.”
